On June 26, 2020, the Texas Immunization Registry (ImmTrac 2) announced readiness for the bidirectional exchange of immunization data with providers. This capability will allow qualified eligible professionals (EP) to participate in the Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive / Promoting Interoperability (PI) Program and to attest to the Stage 3 PI Immunization Registry Reporting measure.
EPs planning to attest to the Immunization Registry Reporting measure in Program Year 2020 and beyond must complete an ImmTrac 2 prerequisite checklist and actively engage with the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and ImmTrac 2 through an on-boarding process of registration, testing, and successful bidirectional exchange of patient immunization data. The readiness announcement and additional information is available for review.
Note: providers participating in the current ImmTrac system (unidirectional submission of data to the registry only) do not qualify for the Stage 3 PI Immunization Registry Reporting measure, even if an EP has successfully attested to immunization registry reporting in a previous participation year of the EHR Incentive/PI Program.
