Texas Association of Healthcare Information Organizations

The Texas Association of Healthcare Information Organizations (TAHIO) is the trade association of the public / private health information organizations across Texas, including Integrated Care Collaboration (ICC), Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange, SETHS Operated Provider Health Information Exchange (SOPHIE), RioONE Health Information Exchange, Health Information Network of South Texas (HINSTX), Rio Grande Valley Health Information Exchange (RGVHIE), North Texas Accountable Healthcare Partnership (NTAHP), Healthcare Access San Antonio (HASA) and Greater Houston Healthconnect.

Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS)

DSHS supports Eligible Professionals (EPs), Eligible Hospitals (EHs), and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) participating in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Electronic Health Record Incentive Payment Programs (EHR Incentive Programs) by providing systems with which EHR Incentive Program participants may exchange data to meet program requirements for public health reporting.

Texas e-Health Alliance

The Texas e-Health Alliance engages in such activities as: advocating on behalf of e-health to the legislature and state agencies, providing timely news and updates to members, and facilitating communications efforts with the media and the general public. Membership is open to any organization that has an interest in helping shape e-health policy.

Texas Health Information Management Association

The Texas Health Information Management Association (TxHIMA) is a component state association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). AHIMA is the premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals worldwide. Serving 52 affiliated component state associations and more than 101,000 health information professionals, it is recognized as the leading source of “HIM knowledge,” a respected authority for rigorous professional education and training.

Texas Medicaid and CHIP Quality and Efficiency Improvement

Texas Medicaid and CHIP Quality and Efficiency Improvement is focused on improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services and promoting value-based purchasing. Value-based purchasing means a payment system that rewards MCOs, hospitals, doctors and other providers for delivering high quality, efficient clinical care.
