Members of the HIE work together as a collaborative of major and community healthcare providers through the secure sharing of privacy-protected health information about patients and the sharing of best practices for the improvement of care. Rio Grande Valley (RGV) health Information Exchange (HIE) facilitates the exchange of health information among hospitals, physicians, labs, imaging centers and consumers, thereby expanding access to quality healthcare and improving health outcomes for all people in the region. Counties served are Brooks, Cameron, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Kenedy, Webb, Willacy, Starr and Zapata.
RioOne Health Information Exchange (HIE) is comprised of leading community health providers with a mission to improve access to quality healthcare in a consistent and secure manner in the Lower Rio Grande Valley region. RioOne utilizes a secure, standardized electronic system in which providers can share important health information. Counties served are Hidalgo and Starr.
The San Antonio Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). HIMSS membership provides opportunities to engage a network of 52,000+ like-minded professionals, over 600 member corporations and more than 250 not-for-profit partner organizations that share our mission of transforming healthcare through the effective use of information technology and management systems. Our network of professionals spans both San Antonio and West Texas, as well as the other chapters in Texas. The SA HIMSS chapter works to advance HIMSS' mission and goals through regular local networking and education events.
Southeast Texas Health Systems (SETHS) - Operated Provider Health Information Exchange (SOPHIE) is the HIE solution for rural providers. SOPHIE integrates hospitals, providers, pharmacies and labs – both locally and regionally – for the purpose of meeting HIE requirements in a manner that preserves the local control and independence of all participants. Counties served Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Victoria, Wharton.
